Coalition for Integrity
Press Release – July 6, 2023
The Coalition for Integrity is pleased to announce that Worth D. MacMurray has joined the organization as its Interim President and CEO, effective July 5, 2023, following the departure of Shruti Shah last month for a position at the U.S. State Department as a Senior Policy Adviser.
Worth brings to the interim role a wealth of experience in the areas of anti-bribery and corruption, transparency and accountability, compliance, good governance, and related areas. He has served as general counsel for a number of publicly-traded companies in the United States and as a chief compliance officer, practiced for several years in the anti-corruption practice of PwC, and as an anti-corruption compliance program subject matter expert to the Special Outside Compliance Advisor to the Siemens Supervisory Board, among other roles.
In recent years, he has been deeply involved in the assessment and certification of corporate antibribery compliance programs and other control systems. He was involved in the US Technical advisory group sponsored by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) that worked to help create the ISO 37001 standard for anti-bribery management systems, holds the “PECB Certified ISO 37001 Lead Auditor” designation, leads ISO 37001 training and workshops, and serves as a lead auditor or subject matter expert on ISO 37001 certification and follow-up audits for leading certification bodies.
He is a graduate of Princeton University (School of Public and International Affairs – with a concentration in Latin American Studies) and Georgetown University Law Center.
“Worth’s deep experience, both domestic and international, with anti-bribery and anti-corruption issues and compliance systems, network of relationships, and familiarity with the policy arena make him an ideal choice to take the Coalition’s agenda forward while we conduct a search for a long-term President and CEO,” said Lucinda Low, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Worth is well-known to the Board and the community and highly respected. His knowledge and experience will enable him to effectively lead our many ongoing policy and programmatic initiatives.”
“I am delighted to be joining the Coalition for Integrity as the Interim President and CEO”, said Worth. “I have known and admired the organization’s work, know many of its Board members, and look forward to working with them and others to promote the Coalition’s agenda and continue its impact.”
